I was selected to participate in the “SONY Computer Entertainment Composer’s Challenge” at Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA), where a number of Berklee students composed original music for some of the best video games from SONY.
Besides being one of the composers participating in this event, I was one of the two students selected to have a recording/mixing session with a reduced orchestra in the Film Scoring studios at Berklee.
Chuck Doud and Clint Bajakian, the two top executives for video games at SONY, made a presentation about the video game industry and the music in video games. They then reviewed our project and provided us with some feedback about how the music and the different transitions worked with the game.
I am very grateful to Chuck Doud and Clint Bajakian, and also to Berklee faculty member Michael Sweet, for this opportunity. I really enjoyed the experience, and learned a lot from it!
